The disruption of funding support to aid and development from the US government in January 2025 have had a major negative impact on health and other services delivered to refugee populations living in temporary shelters along the Thai-Myanmar border. As a result, Thai hospitals, health authorities, and partners in border areas have solicited DLP to implement M-FUND in some of the camps, namely Mae La in Tak province and Ban Mai Nai Soi and Ban Mae Surin in Mae Hong Son pro

In March 2026, DLP is starting a new formal partnership with 2 local NGOs , namely the Foundation for Education and Development (FED) , and Myat Tissar (MTS) , to implement M-FUND in Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Surat Thani provinces in southern Thailand (FED), and in Kawthoung division in Myanmar (MTS).   FED and MTS have long-standing presence and health and education projects for migrants and border communities in these areas, and they have helped recruit some members into M
