On June 10, 2025, H.E. Mr. Jean-Claude Poimboeuf, Ambassador of France to Thailand, and a delegation from the French Embassy, Expertise France, and l'Agence Française de Développement (AFD), visited NGOs providing healthcare services to migrants and refugees in Tak province, including the M-FUND project.

The delegation visited Maela Temporary Shelter, observed M-FUND operations in Mae Sot (supported by l'Initiative through Expertise France), and met with Mae Sot General Hospital and the provincial health authorities.

During the observation of M-FUND activities, Mr Jean-Claude Poimboeuf said: “I am pleased to have seen the operations of M-FUND in the field, how it works. The project is well aligned with France's priorities in Global Health, as it contributes to the fight against the 3 pandemics (HIV, Tuberculosis, Malaria), it reaches most vulnerable populations, and has benefits to their own health as well as public health benefits.”
