Kamphu Kamphuvieng is a 90-year-old Lao woman who migrated to Thailand around 40 years ago. She has difficulty hearing and currently lives alone in a small cottage in Khemarat District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. Her husband has passed away, and she has no children or grandchildren to take care of her.

She resides in a simple hut built behind a villager’s house, where the community provides her with some support. She has no regular work and depends on collecting forest products to exchange food with nearby villagers. Additionally, a Village Health Volunteer (VHV) regularly checks on her and helps monitor her well-being.

Kampho has been an M-FUND member since the project began operations in Ubon in early 2023.

Since her enrollment, her monthly contribution has been covered by the Health and Share Foundation (HSF). However, the Health and Share Foundation (HSF) will soon run out of funding to support her anymore. Dreamlopments Foundation will continue to find the best solution to help her.
